Martinusweg. In the footsteps of St. Martin.
Since 2016, the St. Martin's Way, as part of the European Central Route of the "Via Sancti Martini" between Szombathely in Hungary, where St. Martin was born and Tours in France, where he worked as bishop and is buried, has passed by the HOTELMARIA.
One of the stages leads from Donnerskirchen to Gramatneusiedl. The HOTELMARIA is one of the selected hotels for pilgrims, who receive their pilgrim's passport stamped upon presentation.

One of Austria's oldest pilgrimage sites with a long history.

The pilgrimage site of Loretto in Burgenland lies on the northern edge of the Leitha Mountains.

- The biggest pilgrimage day is the Assumption of Mary, August 15th, when around 20,000 people make a pilgrimage to the basilica and visit the market every year.
